The Karnataka High Court on Monday asked Kambala organisers to submit details about the Kambala Bill that was passed in both Houses of the legislature recently. While hearing a PIL filed by animal rights organisation Peta seeking a ban on Kambala, buffalo race, in the state, a counsel representing Kambala organisers informed the court about the Kambala Bill passed in the Karnataka legislature.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice R B Budihal sought details about the Bill that was passed, to be submitted in the next hearing on Friday.

The bench has granted stay on holding Kambala in the state and has refused to vacate the stay as a similar matter of Jallikattu is pending before the Supreme Court.
