Doungel 'tricks for BFC

Bengaluru FC reserve side beat AGORC 3-0 in the BDFA Super Division football league tie at the Bangalore football stadium here on Thursday.

Senior team striker Seiminlen Doungel was the star of the day, netting a hat-trick.

On the half hour mark, Leon Augustine floated the ball from the left to an unmarked Doungel who made no mistake and gave Bengaluru the lead.

BFC continued to assert their dominance as the ball remained largely in the opponents’ half as shots and well-timed runs tested the AGORC defence.

In first half stoppage time, a handball from AGORC's Govardhan Gowda earned Bengaluru a penalty that Doungel made no mistake with.

The third came in the 79th minute when Kalinga's run down the left flank ended in a low cross that was comfortably tucked away by Doungel.

Earlier, Income Tax beat Postal department 2-1 in an ‘A’ Division fixture.
