Congress leader and MLC K Govindaraju, whose house was raided by I-T officials recently, filed a complaint with Indiranagar police on Thursday alleging that someone had planted the diary containing “unscrupulous entries.”

‘It’s planted’

Based on the complaint, Indiranagar police have taken up a case against unknown persons under criminal breach of trust and are investigating. In his complaint, the MLC alleged that during the raid, the I-T officials did not find any diary, but someone might have planted it along with the files and documents the I-T officials seized from his house, to conspire against him and the party.

Govindaraju has requested the police to conduct a detailed probe and take necessary action against conspirators.

“We have received the complaint and an FIR has been registered in this regard,” a senior police officer.
