In the complaint, JD(S) Spokesperson Y S V Datta has alleged that Yeddyurappa had openly issued instructions to his party legislators during the BJP legislature party meeting held last week to lure voters with sweets, sarees and dhotis.
Following instructions
Datta has stated that BJP legislators were carrying out the instructions of the chief minister and doling out gifts to the voters across the City thereby violating the model code of conduct.
Further, the JD(S) has also taken exception to BJP’s TV ads which the party claims are misleading in nature.
The complaint states that BJP takes credit for schemes and projects taken-up by previous governments. JD(S) has urged the SEC to stop telecast of these ads with immediate effect.
