<p>A five-year-old boy drowned in a rajakaluve at Munnekolalu,Varthur on Friday. <br />The deceased has been identified as Shamiulla, a resident of Munnekolalu. The family hails from West Bengal and shifted to city two years ago.<br /><br />According to police, the incident occurred when Shamiulla was playing cricket with his friends. In his attempt to catch the ball, he fell into the rajakaluve. <br /><br />The boys informed local residents who rushed to the spot, but couldn’t trace the body. They informed the police and fire force personnel who, after a search, found the body around 100 metres away from the spot where the boy had fallen.<br /><br />There are two walls on both sides of the kaluve. The boy climbed up the wall and fell down. The parents have not lodged any complaint.<br /><br /></p>
