The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Monday arrested two men attached to Konanakunte police on charges of graft. The arrested are police inspector L Srinivas and station writer Venkataraman. The action was initiated on the basis of a complaint.
The complainant's cousin,, a resident of Hulimavu, was booked in a case of cheque bounce at Konanakunte police station. The police officials demanded a bribe of RS 25,000 to drop his name in the final report. ACB officials laid a trap and caught the policemen. An official said the bribe was received by the station writer.
