Heatwave continues to grip North India

Several parts of the country continued to reel under the intense heatwave, while some areas of Bihar and Himachal Pradesh received rain.

Delhi remained in the grip of a severe heatwave though the maximum temperature witnessed a dip. The maximum temperature on Friday was 40.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average. The maximum temperature on Thursday was 43.2 degrees Celsius.

Heatwave conditions prevailed in Rajasthan with most places in the state recording maximum temperatures above 41 degrees Celsius. Churu was the hottest at 46.5 degrees Celsius.
