The Royal Challengers Bangalore are totally aware of the dire situation they are in. Any more defeats could see them miss the bus for the play-offs even though the tournament has just reached the halfway stage. Pacer S Arvind, however, felt the team can turn it around just like last year.

“We know that we have to win all six games,” said Arvind at the pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

“Every game is a pressure game for us, but we have to take it in a positive way that we want to win every game and play as as a unit. We can definitely turn things around. We have a good bunch of players. We need to give our best for all the six games.”

Arvind has also said the team has forgotten about annihilation at Eden Gardens where they were bundled out for a mere 49 in just 9.4 over to a suffer a 82-run defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders. “It's a disappointing game, we never talked about it much. It happens. That's how we take it. We are concentrating on the next game. We never spoke about that game. We’ve moved on.”

RCB’s batting hitman Chris Gayle, barring the 77 against Gujarat Lions, hasn’t done much of note and was even dropped owing to his patchy form. This has had huge impact on the team but Arvind felt every cricketer has a poor season and the management is completely behind the West Indian.

“There's not much discussion about him because we know he's a master batsman. He can turn the game around. Unfortunately his year has been bad for him but we can't say anything about it. Our sport is such that one year you succeed and the next year it's the other way. We have to take it (in our stride) and move on to the next game.”
