The passing away of Vinod Khanna, the actor with immense talent and impeccable screen charisma,  has clearly left a void on the Indian screen. Actors across film industries shared with Metrolife their memories of him and how much they loved watching him on screen.

Ramesh Aravind Actor “He is remembered for his performance in ‘Parvarish’. There are a couple of scenes in the film that I still remember  vividly. He was known for his great looks and was a competition for many other heroes of the time. It’s hard to say goodbye to the best star in the Indian film industry.”

Shobhana Actor “I am deeply saddened by the demise of Vinod Khanna. I had always found him to be a great actor who was ahead of his time.”

Prakash Raj, Actor
“I’ve grown up watching Vinod Khanna’s films and I’ve worked with him in ‘Wanted’. I remember him as a dashing man who always pushed the boundaries of creativity. We missed having him around when he suddenly left the industry and took to spirituality. I once asked him how he managed to stay away from glamour after being around for so long, and listened like a student when he explained to me why he chose to take another path. He was a great soul and a wonderful human being.”

Sonu Sood  Actor

“The demise of Vinod Khanna is a huge loss to the film industry. I’ve worked with him in two films — ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ — and we’ve spent a lot of time together. We would have our tea and lunch together during the break. He would constantly motivate me and other youngsters with whom he interacted. We also had a strong Punjabi connection. He was very focussed and committed to his craft. I will miss him deeply because he was a genuine soul.”
