Several BJP MLAs in state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa’s camp met at former deputy chief minister R Ashoka’s residence here on Saturday and discussed the recent developments in the party.
MLAs C N Ashwath Narayana, Y A Narayanaswamy, Muniraju, M Krishnappa, Ravi Subramanya, Vijayakumar and S Vishwanath felt that the party should write to the central leadership that the conduct of senior leader K S Eshwarappa has brought disrepute to the party and the time has come to take action against him. Senior RSS leader C R Mukunda was also present at the meeting, a source said.
Eshwarappa and some of his supporters had launched a no-holds-bar public tirade against the style of functioning of Yeddyurappa at a convention held at Palace Grounds in the city on Thursday. Eshwarappa had blamed Yeddyurappa for taking unilateral decisions and denting the morale of party workers.
