Jackfruit ‘17’, a musical programme by children, organised by Bhoomija, will be held on May 6, 7 pm at MLR Convention Centre, JP Nagar.
The programme will feature on stage ‘India’ s Got Talent’ winner, flautist Suleiman and Sahana Chandrashekhar. Suleiman, the 14-year-old Hindustani flautist from Amritsar and a disciple of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, is coming back for his third ‘Jackfruit’ concert. He will be accompanied by Ojas Adhiya from Mumbai on the tabla.
Sahana Chandrashekhar, a two-time Bhoomija Children’s Carnatic Choir singer, is coming up with a solo for Jackfruit '17. She has trained under eminent teachers in the past and is currently learning from Chaitrra Sriram, a senior disciple of Bombay Jayashri.
She will be accompanied by Vaibhav Ramani (on the violin) and Kumaresh Krishnan (on the mridangam).
Donor passes for the event are priced Rs 300 and are available on www.bookmyshow.com and at the venue on the day of the show.
