JOIN USA departmental enquiry may be ordered against the Shivajinagar police inspector Nagaraj for fighting with the jurisdictional Pulikeshinagar sub-division ACP Basheer Ahmad over auctioning of departmental vehicles.
There was an order by senior police officers restricting inspectors from participating in the auctioning of the departmental vehicles, directly or indirectly.
Nagaraj is said to have participated in the auction through a third party. Nagaraj's car driver had requested his friend to attend the auction.
A few people who had come for the auction had complained about Nagaraj's indirect participation in the auction. Nagaraj lost cool and had an argument with the ACP at his chambers in the presence of local residents. However, the police sent out local residents and made way for a discussion between the inspector and the ACP over the issue, said sources.
There are reports that the ACP has written to Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Ajay Hilori about Nagaraj's conduct.
