JOIN USA special police team has left for Goa in search of a man who is suspected to have raped his seven-year-old daughter.
His wife has lodged a complaint with the Hanumanthanagar police claiming that her husband raped their daughter at a relative’s house in HRBR Layout. The case was transferred to the Banaswadi police station as HRBR Layout where the incident reportedly took place comes under its jurisdiction.
The couple is staying separately since 2016. They have moved the family court seeking legal separation. The court had permitted the husband to keep the daughter with him for two days during weekends.
“My husband would take the daughter every morning on Saturday and used to drop on Mondays. He tortured my daughter whenever he took her away. Recently, my daughter complained of stomach pain. She narrated her ordeal when I asked her the reason,” the woman said in the complaint.
The police have booked him under Pocso Act and under IPC section 354A. Earlier, the woman had lodged a complaint with the Hanumanthanagar police claiming that her husband had attempted to murder her.
