<p>Cases were on Thursday booked against AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh for his tweets accusing the Telangana Police of encouraging Muslim youth to join ISIS.<br /><br />Based on a complaint filed by Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislator M Gopinath three days ago, the Banjara Hills police booked cases against Singh, who is Telugu states in-charge, under IPC Sections 501 and 505 for printing defamatory matter and provoking breach of peace. <br /><br />Following this, state Home Minister Narasimha Reddy demanded an apology from Singh, saying he had intentionally degraded the Telangana Police, considered one of the best in the country.</p>
