Strong winds blew away the roof of a house in Mudigere. <br /><br />Hosapete and its surroundings received heavy rain for a brief period towards Sunday evening. It rained in the town for about 30 minutes on Saturday too. The showers have brought relief for the people from sweltering heat.<br /><br />A woman was killed in lightning strike at Badalankalagi village in Belagavi taluk. The deceased has been identified as Rudravva Chandrappa Kudyanatti (28) a resident of Badalankalgi.<br /><br />A 12-year-old boy was killed and five others were injured in two separate incidents of lightning strikes reported in Chamarajanagar and Hassan districts on Sunday.<br />Manu of Tenkaluhundi in Gundlupet taluk, Chamarajanagar district, was struck dead by lighting. <br /><br />Five members of a family in Madagatta in Belur taluk, in Hassan district, are severely injured when lightning struck them.<br /><br />Heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and lighting, lashed Belur town and parts of taluk. Parts of Mysuru, including Periyapatna, Nanjangud and HD Kote received thunder showers on Sunday evening.<br /><br />Showers, coupled with strong winds, uprooted several full-grown trees in Turuvekere and parts of the taluk in Tumakuru district. <br /><br /></p>
