The Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka (KAMS) has written a letter to Governor Vajubhai Vala, condemning a statement about private schools made by Health Minister Ramesh Kumar.
The minister had on Thursday said that goons, rowdies and suspended government officials have established educational institutions and are running them like business ventures.
The association has protested his remark stating that it maligns the entire education system by creating a bad impression among parents and students. In the letter, general secretary of KAMS Shasi Kumar D requested the governor to advise members of the legislature to not make general statements which malign educational institutions.
