Natural care

Monsoon often invites the common cold, flu, indigestion problems and so on. So it’s important that you take care of yourself and drink plenty of water.

Then again, you can have a simple spa treatment at home to pamper yourself in the dull weather.

Hair styling: It’s best not to experiment too much with your hair this season. Gently dry your hair every time you get drenched and remember not to comb when it’s wet.

Shampoo your hair twice a week and ensure you oil your hair regularly. Leave it on for a couple of hours before washing it off. Once the scalp absorbs the oil, put a hot towel for deep conditioning.

Face masks: It’s best to create homemade face masks as they don’t contain any chemicals. Any face mask with turmeric and milk, chocolate, honey or banana is perfect.

Mix the ingredients you have at home and form a paste. Apply it on your face gently. Leave it on for 20 minutes or till it dries out and wash it gently with lukewarm water. Steaming your face is also great after applying the mask.

Hands and feet: In a deep bowl with warm water, add a bit of Epsom salt and rosewater. You can also add your favourite essential oils if you wish.

Soak your hands and feet in the warm water and use a scrubber after about 10 minutes. Apply lotion and feel like a million bucks!

Internal care: While the spa treatments will make your feel beautiful, it’s important that you take care of your health. So drink plenty of water, avoid food from outside, especially the roadside. Stay warm and healthy.
