BJP ready for early Assembly polls: DVS

Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D V Sadananda Gowda on Saturday said the BJP is ready to face the Assembly elections if the Congress decides to advance it.

“People of the state will pack off Siddaramaiah (chief minister) to Mysuru...The fruit is already rotten. It only needs to be thrown out,” he told reporters after inaugurating a job mela organised by Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) at RT Nagar in Bengaluru.

“Loan waiver is a welcome move. But it will not fetch any votes to the ruling party. People will not forgive the government for its misdeeds,” he said, adding that the Chief Minister has written off farm loans with an eye on the Assembly elections.
