Battling at fest

Nearly ten colleges from the City took part in the two-day cultural fair and enjoyed to the fullest and gave tough competition to each other. Events like Ice Breaker, Launch Pad, The Conquerer, Kwik Spell, Ad-arena, Clash of Titans, Merchandisers and Kwizzz were held as the part of the fest and all these competitions saw the maximum amount of participation.

Actress Nidhi Subbaiah inaugurated the cultural extravaganza and focused on the relevance of academic fests and how they are helpful in moulding the personality of a student. She regretted about the piracy in Sandalwood and requested the students to encourage and support Kannada movies.

A S Chandramouli, the Principal, welcomed the gathering and appreciated the teachers and student co-ordinators for organising such a colourful fest. Archana Surana, the managing trustee, congratulated the students for their efforts. Mini K Abraham, Head of Department, Commerce, thanked the dignitaries, participants and student co-ordinators for their support and hard work.

On the occasion, Ensemble, a commerce publication was released by Dr Prabhu Dev, the director of PG courses. He spoke about the importance of magazines in the development of a society and appreciated the innovative idea of bringing a journal exclusively dedicated to the field of commerce.

The valedictory function commenced with a striking kathak performance by television artistes Vikram Suri and Namitha Rao. Director K M Chaitanya, the chief guest, handed the Overall Rolling Trophy to C B Bhandari Jain College for their excellent performance.
