Chethan does star turn for Blues

Chethan Kumar’s well-timed 93 came to Elite Blues rescue as they beat IISc Gymkhana in the KSCA Group I, Division IV league cum knock-out tournament for Metro Shield here.

Batting first, the Blues banked on Chethan’s knock, with Rakesh TR (54) and Pradeep K (32) playing the supporting role, and managed 262 before being bowled out in the final over of their innings.

For IISc, Ashith did most of the damage with the bowler claiming six for 54.
Though Ashith returned to trouble the Blues with the bat, topscoring for IISc with 66 — it wasn’t enough as Elite Blues eked out an eight-run win.
