Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday expressed confidence that people would soon see a united AIADMK (merger of two warring factions).

"It (merger) will happen soon. You can expect that", he said.

Reacting to Palaniswami's remarks, AIADMK rebel group led by O Panneerselvam reiterated its demand that a CBI probe should be conducted into the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa and totally side lining of the entire V K Sasikala family including her nephew TTV Dhinakaran.

"We are very clear from the beginning. If our demands were met, talks would be initiated immediately", former minister K P Munusamy, who is in the OPS camp said.

However, more than 30 MLAs continue to maintain that Dhinakaran is still AIADMK's deputy general secretary.

Dhinakaran also recently announced that he would tour the whole State to seek cadres supports ahead of local polls and for general elections.
