Amid series of developments in the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, the Opposition DMK working president M K Stalin on Friday said that no confidence motion would be moved against the government headed by chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami if necessary arises.
"Unusual political situation is prevailing in Tamil Nadu after the split in AIADMK. This affected the people. A solution should be arrived immediately. If necessary arises, no confidence motion will surely be moved", Stalin said.
Stalin, who convened DMK district secretaries meeting and discussed about the political situation in the State, said the AIADMK have split into three groups -- on led by Palaniswami another headed by former chief minister O Panneerselvam and next faction is functioning under TTV Dhinakaran.
Reacting to Stalin's remarks, Palaniswami said he was ready to face it. "We won the floor test when Stalin moved a no confidence motion against us. If he does it again, we will win by more votes", chief minister said.
