<p>After ‘Srinivasa Kalyana’ that portrayed her talent at its best, actor Kavitha is excited about her latest release ‘First Love’. In a candid chat with Tini Sara Anien, she talks about her latest project.<br /><br /> How did ‘First Love’ happen?<br /><br />A friend of mine from the industry suggested that there was a good role which would fit me well. I found the script good and I expressed my interest in the project. ‘First Love’ is not just about a romantic relationship; the concept is about anyone’s first love which can either be for a parent or a friend. The movie is a simple love story which revolves around a family.<br /><br />How different is this movie compared to your earlier one?<br /><br />The situations in this movie are different compared to ‘Srinivasa Kalyana’. I play Anjali, a simple yet bubbly girl. She is a medical student who has plenty of emotions to portray.<br /><br /> Are you close to Anjali?<br /><br />I am close to the character as I am a bubbly and social person too but unlike her, I do everything that I want to do.<br /><br /> Challenges you faced while doing the project.<br /><br />Emoting just with the eyes is difficult. When there are no words involved in a scene where deep emotions have to be expressed, it can be quite a challenge.<br /><br />There are a lot of romantic movies releasing now. How will this one stand out?<br /><br />The climax of the story is shot in such a way that it will capture people’s attention. The story is a real life one that gives the movie a unique touch.<br /><br />Do you modify a role according to your wishes or do you like following instructions?<br /><br />While I am a director’s actor, I also play around with the character and add facets to my role after discussing with the director. I am adaptive and I accept feedback in the right way.<br /><br /> Is acting on the small screen different from acting in movies?<br /><br />In TV serials, your role would have been explained to you and you develop it accordingly, as you have an idea of how the character behaves. However, in a movie, different characteristics have to be showcased in a shorter format, which requires you to keep consulting the director.<br /><br /> A genre you want to try.<br /><br />I don’t like horror movies. I would like to work in a comedy film though. I also like <br />suspense/thriller projects as they push actors beyond their limits.<br /><br />Some things you remind yourself when you’re in front of the camera.<br /><br />When I am in front of the camera, I am extra alert about any instructions that the director gives. Also, I zone myself out of everything else and concentrate only on the scene at that time.</p>
