Singh may take up with Obama other issues like access for Indian investigating agencies to incarcerated Pakistani-American terror-plotter David Headley and Air India’s continued concerns over terrorism emanating from the country’s western neighbourhood.

The two leaders are likely to review the progresses made in the efforts to implement the India-US civil nuclear cooperation agreement too.

Singh will also hold bilateral meetings with Chinese President Hu Jintao and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Brasilia when he will be in the Brazilian capital later next week for the Brazil-Russia-India-China and India-Brazil-South Africa summits.

The PM is leaving for Washington DC on Saturday to attend the Nuclear Security Summit, convened by Obama.

Singh said that New Delhi expected the conclave in the US capital to focus on nuclear terrorism and proliferation of sensitive nuclear materials and technologies.

He will also have bilateral meetings with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Canadian President Stephen Harper on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit.
