As crimes become more complex, smart home security devices are a must. Home is the place where we feel protected and safe from the outside world. However, with the rise in crime rates, our home can be at risk too.

Today, digital revolution has changed the way we protect our homes. Technology plays a vital role in safeguarding our homes. These technological advancements in home security are constantly evolving to bring convenience and ease.

Here are a few home security solutions that will reduce the risk of unwanted intrusions:

Monitoring systems: Remote monitoring systems provide intrusion alerts, stream security camera feeds, send real time videos and images of happenings at home.

Intruder alarm systems: These consist of a main panel, magnetic contact and hooter. The magnetic door sensor can be attached to doors and windows. It senses any break-in via doors or windows and sends a message to the main panel, which in turn triggers the hooter that acts as a deterrent to whoever attempts to break in. It can even warn you in case of fires and carbon-monoxide exposures.

CCTVs: These are digital video cameras and other video surveillance systems. Depending on how large and valuable your property is, you can get security cameras installed inside and outside your home to monitor the situation.

Fingerprint scanners: Fingerprint door locks are being used widely, as they ensure that only those persons whose fingerprints are registered in the system can operate the locks.

While security systems are a way to ensure additional protection for your home, proactive measures cannot be ruled out. Measures like informing your security company if you are going to be away for some time, keeping your neighbours informed, checking the battery of your alarm system, and keeping your valuables in an electronic safe are advisable.
