Festival rush: KSRTC to run 1,500 extra buses

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will ply over 1,500 additional buses to various places in Karnataka and neighboring states between September 28 and October 2 from Kempegowda bus station, Mysuru Road bus station and Shanthinagar BMTC and TTMC in Bengaluru in the wake of festival season.

Special buses will be operated from various places of the state and neighboring states to Bengaluru between October 3 and 8. About 130 special buses will be operated from Mysuru Road bus station to Mysuru for Dasara festival.

About 180 special buses will be operated from Mysuru to help tourists visit Chamundi Hills, KRS Dam, Srirangapatna, Nanjanagud, Madikeri, Mandya, Malavalli, HD Kote, Chamarajanagar, Hunsur, KR Nagar, Gundlupet and surrounding areas. Fly Bus ( A/C multi-axle service) will be introduced from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru to Mysuru directly.

The KSRTC has also introduced package tours for the convenience of tourists from Mysuru to Bandipur, Bylakuppe and Nanjanagud. The KSRTC will operate a special A/C bus (Palace on Wheels) one-day local trip in Mysuru.
