BJP national president Amit Shah has cancelled his programmes in Mangaluru on Wednesday, citing party related work in New Delhi.
Shah was scheduled to chair the state unit’s core committee and booth campaign committee meetings. He was also expected to meet intellectuals in Mangaluru on Wednesday. However, he left for New Delhi on Tuesday evening after taking part in the Janaraksha rally in Kannur district in north Kerala.
There was speculation in a section of the BJP that Shah had cancelled his meetings in Mangaluru as he is unhappy with the rift among party leaders in the state.
