Medium &HeavyIndustries Minister R V Deshpande said, there was no need for Bengaluru Development Minister K J George to submit resignation over the CBI filing FIR against him in DySP M K Ganapati suicide case.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Deshpande said, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had taken a right decision by rejecting the demand for George's resignation.

He said, the CID had already filed a B report giving clean chit to George in the case. Deshpande said that if resignation was tendered over mere allegations then the whole Vidhana Soudha would be empty.

On BJP clamouring for George's resignation, he said, "If BJP points one finger atCongress, four fingers point towards it." FIRs have been filed against many BJP central ministers and some are even facing criminal charges. "Let the party begin the pious work of demanding the resignation from its leaders," he added.

Deshpande said that those, who live in glass house should think before throwing stones at others.

Second term for Siddu

Deshpande has supported second term for Siddaramaiah aschief minister. "What is wrong ifSiddamaraiah becomes chief minister for second time?' he asked. The Assembly election 2018 is being fought under the leadership of Siddaramaiah.Hence, it would be good if he becomes chief minister, he added.

"Everybody including me aspires to be CM. However, those who are destined to become chief minister will become CM. Siddaramaiah was suppose to become chief minister and he occupied the top post.If he is set to become CM again so shall it be," he said.
