CCTV cameras have been installed at 40 check posts.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The state government has deputed ADGP Bhaskar Rao to oversee the security arrangements in the district.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The district administration has not printed the names of MP Prathap Simha and MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik in the Tipu Jayanti invites while The names of BJP MLAs M P Appachu Ranjan, K G Bopaiah, MLC D H Shankaramurtthy and ZP president B A Harish have been included.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Deputy Commissioner Richard Vincent D'Souza said that only those with invites will be allowed to <br />attend the Tipu Jayanti programme.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Strict action warned</p>.<p class="bodytext">ADGP Bhaskar Rao said that all measures have been taken to organise the programme peacefully.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As there is stiff opposition to Tipu Jayanti, it is the responsibility of the state government to maintain peace, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"Everyone has the right to speak in a democracy but if anyone takes law into their hands, then strict action would be initiated against them. Prohibitory orders have been clamped across the district," Rao said.</p>
