JOIN USDr B R Ambedkar Development Corporation's Kadur and Tarikere Taluk Development officer Boraiah was caught red-handed by ACB police while allegedly accepting a bribe.
Boraiah reportedly demanded money towards issuing an entrepreneurship certificate to Anand Naika of Maidoddi. The latter gave Rs 5,000 to Boraiah in advance and the officer had asked Anand to give the remaining at a hotel near Kadur bus stand.
The ACB officers caught the officer when he was receiving money from Anand on Wednesday morning.
ACB Western Range Officer Shruthi, DySP Dinakar Shetty and Chikkamagaluru ACB officer Brijesh Mathew were part of the team which carried out the raid. Boraiah was earlier held by ACB for alleged malpractices while he was in Kodagu district. Investigations are on in the case.
