Nothing political in the conversation: Anita Kumaraswamy

The conversation between her and Energy Minister D K Shiva Kumar was merely a courtesy and the media should not presume that it had political connotations clarified former MLA Anita Kumaraswamy here on Monday after inaugurating the temple in Chennenahalli village in the district.

Anita was noticed speaking to the minister on Saturday while sitting next to him at the Kanaka Jayanti programme.

"It was a mere exchange of courtesies. There was nothing political in what we discussed. The media should not deem it to be a JD(S)-Congress pact and publish it. There are no such plans at the moment," she categorically state.

"Earlier too when I was a MLA the minister and I have many arguments on the floor of the Assembly. But when we met at such functions we have been civil with each other. There is nothing special in it," she said adding the party high command had finalised her candidature for Channapatna constituency, but they need more time to make a final announcement.
