In a unique incident, two buffaloes that went missing were traced out through a Facebook post.

Narayanaswamy and Sunandamma, a couple from Etur village in Sulibele of Hosakote Taluk have been rearing buffaloes for their livelihood. Last Monday, when Sunandamma took the Buffaloes to graze in the outskirts of the village, two of her buffaloes went missing.

Despite constant searches around the village located near rural Bengaluru, they were not able to trace the buffaloes.

Mohan Gowda, an active Facebook user, who stays in Kondarahalli, 12 kilometres away from Etur village, came across two buffaloes running haphazardly in some fields near his house. He caught them and tied them up in his backyard.

Later, good samaritan Mohan clicked pictures of the buffaloes and shared it on his Facebook wall, saying "check who these buffaloes belong to", along with his contact details.

Within a span of four hours, Narayanaswamy's son Nagesh saw the Facebook post and identified the buffaloes and informed his father. Later, father and son reached out to Mohan, who then handed them over to Narayanaswamy.

Like they say, all's well that ends well.
