JOIN USMayor Kavitha Sanil said that on the occasion of MCC Day on December 8, a drawing competition will be held at the Mini Hall at Town Hall premises at 9.30 am. The competition will be held for all Primary and High School students in Mangaluru City Corporation limits.
The topics for the drawing competition are: Mangaluru International Airport, Bajpe, New Mangalore Port, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, National Highway - 66 and Mangaluru- Hassan Railway line (The topics indicate the development programmes pioneered by Ullal Srinivas Mallya in undivided Dakshina Kannada district).

Cultural programmes
MCC members and staff will display their talents as part of the cultural programmes to be held in Town Hall at 2.30 pm. The programme will comprise dance and music performances.
The formal programme and Ullal Srinivas Mallya honorary award conferring ceremony will be held at 6.30 pm. Prizes will be distributed to winners of the competitions on the occasion.
A musical evening will be presented by Sur Sangam orchestra after 8 pm.
