MP Pratap Simha has continued his criticism against Superintendent of Police Ravi D Channanavar on the social media on Tuesday also, in connection with his arrest during the Hanuma Jayanti celebrations in Hunsur on Sunday.

He has asked the SP to introspect whether he is loyal to the police duty or to Home Minister's advisor Kempaiah. Simha, in a live video on his Facebook page, has lashed out at SP Channanavar. On Sunday, Simha had tweeted continously to express his displeasure over SP Channanavar, questioning his policing. A tweet read, "Dear @SPmysuru Ravi Channanavar prior to Eid Milad, over night you allowed Muslims to erect illegal green arch on govt road, but, stopped us from putting Hanuman Posters! From last two years u are distrusting Hanuman Jayanti! What a policing!!"

Speaking to media Channanavar said, "Life is a learning process and I am not acting on behalf of the state government. I am abiding by the Constitution and not against any individual."

Simha, in the live video, hit back at the SP and blamed the Mysuru district police for filing unnecessary charges against Hindu devotees. He said, "Don't blame the Deputy Commissioner for your failures and that of the Police department. The DC has imposed restrictions, based on the reports of the Police department. It's time you introspect whether you are loyal to the police duty or to Home Minister's advisor Kempaiah."

"It is not enough to address me 'honourable', you should behave well with me. Did you not pressurise on your staffers to file a attempt to murder case against me? Why did you publicise the video recorded for the police evidence?" he has asked.

However, Channanavar refused to react.
