Online enrolment deadline for SSLC students extended

Last Updated 06 December 2017, 18:59 IST

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has extended the deadline for online enrolment of SSLC students to December 20.

"As many institutions had sought more time for online enrolment, the deadline has been extended to December 20. Schools that have more than 500 SSLC students should contact the nodal officers if they are facing problems with online enrolment," a note from the director (examination) of the KSEEB said.

Earlier, the confusion created by glitches in the online enrolment for the SSLC students, had led to a few persons suggesting that the department should switch back to the old system if it cannot fix the problems.

JD(S) leader and MLC Basavaraj Horatti has written to Primary and Higher Education Minister Tanveer Sait, urging him to fix the problems in the online enrolment at the earliest, or go back to the old system.

Horatti said that he had written to the KSEEB secretary last month seeking solution, but no step has been taken in this regard.

"Teachers are finding it difficult to upload the information on to the website. Servers are not working properly. The hurried decision has led to a confusion among teachers who have stopped teaching and working till night to upload the information," he said.
