Fix My Street app to be launched on December 11

Last Updated 09 December 2017, 19:07 IST

'Fix My Street' app will be launched at the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) council meeting on December 11, Monday.

The app will help the citizens to directly contact ward engineers and the corporators to help them resolve the civic problems.

Once people download the app and post a complaint, a minimum of 24-48 hours is allotted for the engineers to resolve the complaint. If the issue is bigger, then a week's time will be given. "Every ward engineer and also the corporator will be held accountable for the problem," said Mayor R Sampath Raj.

After the civic body received a lot of complaints regarding the innumerable potholes and flooded roads during heavy rains, this was one of the first initiatives taken by Mayor R Sampath Raj as soon as he resumed office.

Some features of the app:

Geo-tagged request automatically maps to Ward Official.

Concerned Official gets notified of location and image on request submission.

All officers in the department can view complaint dashboard and take necessary action.

A dashboard on Mobile App for all officers in the department.

On resolving the problem, the official will update with remarks and photo (wherever applicable).

Monitor all requests and drive for actions.

Officer can transfer a request to another ward or department.

All field updates are captured with GEO coordinates and photos, available through various MIS reports for BBMP Officials.
