The minister paid a sum of Rs 15,000 as immediate compensation to the family of the dead in the accident. He promised to pay a sum of Rs 5,000 to the injured. The minister said that the bearaved families would get a sum exceeding Rs two lakhs as insurance from Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation. He assured of his assitance in getting all the benefits to the victims.
The Divisional Controller of KSRTC, Prakash Babu said that greviously injured would get Rs 5,000 while those with minor injuries would get Rs 3,000 from the Corporation.
Deputy Commissioner Anwar Pasha and others were present.
