Wedding bells in the air

Kannada actor Prajwal Devaraj will be tying the knot with his long-time girl friend Ragini Chandran over the weekend. The two families have known each other for a long time and were not surprised to see the two youngsters tying the knot.

The Devaraj family has been having a series of ceremonies in their house for the last few weeks. After returning from his bachelor party in South East Asia, Prajwal has been attending a lot of ‘pujas’ and rituals.  An excited Devaraj informs that there are no elaborate arrangements for the wedding and that the family has decided to keep the wedding simple rather than indulge in a lot of extravagance. “We would rather concentrate on treating our guests well and making sure everyone returns happy and content. In fact, I have invited everybody from the first person of the State to my assistant boy. Everybody will be treated equally,” says Devaraj.

    He also states that the wedding will be held in the traditional Karnataka style and also have Brahmin rituals. “Ragini is an Iyer and we are Vokkaligas, so we will be incorporating rituals from both sides, just to make sure that nothing is amiss,” he adds.
 
Devaraj informs that Prajwal didn’t want an elaborate costume and got his wedding attire designed with the help of his friends. “Prajwal wanted something simple yet attractive so we let him get everything done. We added a lot of what the children have wanted. Their comfort is important to us,” says Devaraj. The couple will be off to Europe for their honeymoon soon after the wedding.

Friends of the Devaraj family and the entire Kannada film industry are all set to attend the wedding that will be held on October 25 at Grand Castle, Palace Grounds.
