JOIN USThe Rajagopalnagar police have arrested four more suspects involved in the murder of former BBMP corporator and JD(S) leader M B Govinde Gowda recently.
The arrested are Nataraj (37), Manjunath (23), Rajashekhar (28) and Santhosh (22). The number of arrests is now 10. Four of them were arrested for harbouring one of the prime suspects Abhishek.
Velu (23) and Abhishek alias Kulla Abhi (25), who were arrested, were said to be part of the gang that chased down and hacked Gowda on December 9.
Almost all the suspects are said to be relatives of Chikka Thimmegowda, a political worker who once worked for Gowda before switching over to the BJP in 2015. Thimmegowda had ensured the defeat of Gowda's wife in the BBMP polls. Gowda got him killed in revenge, police said.
