<p align="justify" class="title">The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to hasten the white-topping (concretisation) of roads in the city to ease the traffic congestions caused by it. </p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">On Thursday, the BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad along with R Hithendra, Additional Commissioner (Traffic) inspected the stretches where white-topping of roads is underway. Hitendra assured that policemen will be deployed at the junctions to help the motorists and reduce congestion, especially during the peak hours.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">The decision comes after reports and complaints by commuters who faced inconvenience and heavy traffic jams on a regular basis where the work was in progress. These stretches have been narrowed to a single lane and heavy congestion has become a common sight here.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">The officials inspected Anepalya on the Hosur road and said that the work would be completed by December 28. Additionally, the one-kilometre stretch of road from Hosur Road to Silk Board junction will be thrown open within the next two weeks.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Prasad appealed to the citizens to co-operate as this was a temporary problem.</p>
