The organisers of Sunny Night, a music-and-dance event featuring Bollywood actor Sunny Leone,  submitted various documents to the police on Friday in an effort to get permission for the bash.

MS Harish, the managing director of Time Creations, met the  Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) S Girish and made the requisite submissions. Police had earlier objected to the event, saying the organisers had not sought the requisite permission from the authorities. The event is scheduled to be held at White Orchid Convention Center, Manyata Tech Park, on December 31.

In a submission before the high court, police said the organisers hadn't approached them either. They also did not take the green signal from Bescom or the departments of fire and emergency services, excise, commercial taxes and public works.

Meanwhile, Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar held a meeting with state police chief, Neelmani N Raju, on whether the event should be allowed. But since the Home Department is not keen on allowing Sunny Leone to come to the city, police have not yet prepared an affidavit for submission before the high court.

The court had asked the state government to consider the organiser's representations by December 25. Sources in the police commissioner's office told this newspaper the decision would be conveyed to the organisers on Saturday.
