Sagarika Ghose's biography on Indira Gandhi to be turned into a movie

Sagarika Ghose’s biography of Indira Gandhi, 'Indira, India's Most Powerful Prime Minister' is set to be turned into a movie.

Ghose took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce the signing of the contract with Roy Kapoor Films and Vidya Balan.

Published by Juggernaut Books and released last year, the book is a comprehensive biography of the lone woman prime minister of India.

Divided into eight chapters, the book explores various junctures of Mrs Gandhi's life.

The book traces the history of India throughout the 20th century and speaks about several individuals who had a crucial role in Indian politics and Mrs Gandhi's life.

Roy Kapoor Films has not yet confirmed whether Vidya Balan will play the role of Indira Gandhi.
