<p class="title">The cybercrime police have arrested five people for illegally hiking Television Rating Points (TRPs).</p>.<p class="bodytext">The suspects were using multiple television sets and paying money in certain locations for people to watch the channel to increase the TRP.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The suspects made a huge sum of money by advertising in the said channels. They were identified as Raju, Madhu, Suresh, Jemsy and Subhas, all residents of Bengaluru.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Police said that the Broadcast Audience Research Council had filed a complaint stating that illegal methods were being used to spike the TRPs.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Police added that based on the false TRPs, channels would charge the advertisement company a huge amount of money.</p>
