The BJP on Monday petitioned the office of the chief electoral officer (OCEO), Karnataka, claiming that there were several errors in the revised electoral rolls and the same be rectified at the earliest. In the memorandum, signed by BJP leaders, the party stated that the errors have been brought to the notice officers at the district-level but to no avail.
The memorandum stated that there were repetition of names, mistakes in gender and residential addresses among others. The party has attached copies of few sheets of electoral rolls from Padmanabhanagar and Mahalakshmi Layout to substantiate its claim.
