Farmers' problems need to be discussed in depth. Farmers who serve the nation, must be paid pensions, said senior Gandhian Anna Hazare.
He announced that a massive farmers' rally would be held on March 23 at the Ram Lila Grounds in New Delhi.
Hazare visited the Murugha mutt here in Chitradurga, on Tuesday and spoke to reporters.
The senior freedom fighter said, that there are over 12 lakh farmers in India who don't get any relief from governments. The agriculture sector is reeling under poverty. The rally in March was being held to draw the Centre's attention to the plight of farmers of the country, he added.
Reacting to statements on changing the Constitution, Anna said," Our Constitution is good enough as-is. It gives everyone a fair chance at life. Why change it? The Constitution cannot be changed by anyone".
