Now, a call centre for RTO grievances

Last Updated 06 February 2018, 18:41 IST

People can now complain about RTO services by making  a phone call or posting a message on social media.

The Transport Department has opened a call centre for receiving complaints by phone, through WhatsApp or e-mail and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.  "We completed a pilot project in 2017 before opening the call centre. It will be open from 9 am to 6 pm," Transport Commissioner B Dayananda said.

So, WhatsApp to 9449863459, write to tdkarnataka@gmail.com  or just tweet  to @tdkarnataka.

Digilocker

The department has issued a circular making soft copies of driving licence (DL), registration certificate (RC) and emission certificate legally acceptable when they are presented through the Digilocker platform.

The notification doesn't apply to cases where DL or RC has to be seized by the authorities for any offence such as drunk-driving.
