Clash between two factions in the district Congress and subsequent baton charge by the police left a party worker dead on Sunday.
The deceased, Vinay (25), was a resident of Chamarajpet in Chikkaballapur.
Supporters of MLA D K Sudhakar and Naveen Kiran locked horns with each other at Siddeshwar Bhavan where the Congress poll observers had convened a meeting to receive applications from ticket aspirants.
