The HC did not name any individual, but the reference was apparently to Union Agriculture Minister and former BCCI president Sharad Pawar, who is slated to take over as president of the International Cricket Council soon. The court was hearing a public-interest petition filed by Shiv Sena MLA Subhash Desai, who alleged that the government was not collecting entertainment tax from the IPL, despite deciding to levy the same in January.
