One held, two murder cases solved

Mysuru South Police arrested a person and solved two murder, three chain snatching and six temple theft cases.

The arrested has been identified as Nagendra, 36, son of Tumbenerale former gram panchayat member Mahadevanayaka.

According to the police, Nagendra, a PU dropout, was involved in criminal activities since he was a student. He had been arrested in the chain snatching and robbery cases a few years ago and was out of jail since a year.

The modus operandi of Nagendra was to target lone women. He used to befriend women and attack them for gains. Nagendra had looted gold ornaments after attacking four women with lethal weapons in the last one year. While two women died, two others survived. Police had formed two teams and nabbed Nagendra.
