
Nagalakshmi Bai, president of the State Mahila Aayog, told reporters in Tumakuru, on Friday, that she had received complaints, about women in Pavagada taluk being abducted, raped, and brought back to their homes after three-four days.
This heinous crime was being blatantly committed in Nidagal, Pavagada taluk and remained unchecked by the police and other authorities.
"I have requested the superintendent of police to investigate further and take action. I will write to the home minister as well," she added.
One woman complained that she was assaulted by a person named Ramakrishna Sunil without cause and the police delayed registering the complaint. Now the accused are absconding the woman told Nagalakshmi Bai.
